Paperless Working

All digital. No more paper clutter.

Paperless Working – all digital. No more paper clutter.

Biotaktix replaces paper slips, radio hand‑senders and handwritten notes with a fully digital platform – from weighing to time tracking to digestate and substrate documentation. All data are created where the work happens: directly on the vehicle, at the scale or in the field – via the app, in real time.

What paperless working means in practice

In biogas plants daily data are generated at many points simultaneously: substrates are delivered, digestate is hauled away, feedings are logged, working times are recorded, self‑declarations from suppliers are collected. As long as this is done on paper, media breaks inevitably occur – slips have to be taken to the office, data are typed in, errors creep in, documents get lost.

Biotaktix closes this gap: each process is captured digitally once and is instantly available to all parties – in the office, on the smartphone and in the browser.

Digital capture in all relevant areas

Weighbridge tickets: Drivers record weighings directly via the app, without staff at the scale. Existing bridge scales can be integrated into the platform. The data flow automatically into mass balance, inventory valuation and billing.

Working times: Employees record working times on‑site with a mobile device. No time sheets, no later transfer to the office.

Digestate and substrate documentation: Inventories are managed digitally, deliveries are tracked, digestate quantities are assigned to the respective recipients. What comes in and what goes out – always traceable.

Self‑declarations: Suppliers can submit and manage self‑declarations digitally – via the Biotaktix portal, without follow‑up questions and without paper. The data are captured RED2/RED3‑compliant.

Why the switch to digital is more than convenience

Paper‑based processes do not scale. What works with a handful of suppliers becomes a real burden as the operation grows: data are missing, analyses take time, transparency suffers. Digital capture is not a gimmick – it is a prerequisite for a modern plant operation to run reliably.

Case study: Vollgas Bioenergie, Lemgo

Vollgas Bioenergie operates a 750 kW plant (maximum output 1 300 kW) in the Lippe district, North Rhine‑Westphalia, producing electricity and district heating.

Before using Biotaktix, inventory was determined manually across various programs and handwritten notes; weighing data were captured via radio hand‑senders – unreliable, especially during the harvest season.

Today the entire plant operation runs on Biotaktix: weighbridge tickets, feeding logs, substrate and inventory management. The existing bridge scale was integrated directly.

Plant manager Olli describes the difference: “With Biotaktix I have the overview, especially during the harvest season the new harvest dashboard has helped me a lot.”
